Heated discussion continues around the United States immigration crisis as the number of families apprehended at the US-Mexico border rises. In one month over 2,300 children were separated from their parent or guardian and put into US migrant children shelters, with an average shelter stay of 56 days*.

When separation occurs within the family unit, there are significant health ramifications for the child. We bring forward this free content collection that discusses psychological trauma, implications of policy and law, and environmental influences, as it relates to child-parent separation.

We encourage you to continue the discussion and share this content with your peers and network.
